Cranberry Orange Scones

Step by Step Cranberry Orange Scones

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1/3 of a cup of sugar
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 a cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • orange cranberries
  • 1/3 of a stick of butter(NOT melted)
  • 1 egg(DO NOT mix with ingredients)

Recipe:

First preheat your oven to 400 degrees.Next, mix all the dry ingredients including the cranberries into a large bowl. After you’ve done that get your butter and cut it into small squares that are really thin. Then mix that into the dry ingredients with your hands. Then pour your milk into another bowl. Add your vanilla extract to the milk. Pour your wet ingredients with the dry. Start to mix with your hand. After they are combined knead the dough.

Grab a chunk out of the dough and roll it into a ball. Barley squish the dough down so it is nice and circular and looks like a calzone. You should be able to make 6-8 2 in. scones. place a baking sheet on a baking tray. Then place the scones on the tray. Crack your egg into a small bowl and whisk. Then brush the egg whites onto the scones. Place them into the oven for 20-25 minutes.

Once they’re done take them out and let them cool. Cut one open to check if it is cooked. These scones go great on a breakfast dish with butter. These scones will make you go absolutely cuckoo for cooking! Hope you enjoy!
